Welcome to the September edition of our Client newsletter. As you may notice, we have changed the design and format to make it even more concise, readable and relevant to our Clients. Any feedback gratefully received! Aside from our amazing September promotion on new permanent business, I have written a “nuts and bolts” piece on the impact of the workplace pension legislation to our Clients who hire temps.

Latest news from Tiger >

The Tiger team has continued to grow throughout 2014 and we have added Layelle Thomson to our temporary division. Layelle is supporting Rebecca and Camilla from an administrative point of view. We have also added Victoria Lindfield to our permanent desk. Victoria has over 5 year’s secretarial recruitment experience and I know that she has helped many of you already with your recruitment needs.


In addition, we have just hired a “Trainee Consultant”, Sarah Worssam, who will be joining our permanent team at the end of the month.


We have continued to develop our marketing strategy to ensure that we are attracting the best Candidates in the market. You may have seen our new style adverts in The Week Magazine and The Mayfair Times as well as the job boards. We have engaged a new digital marketing company to ensure that we retain our position at the top of the rankings on google and continue to build relations with Candidates through social networking.


We have done further work on our website, adding useful content for our Clients and Candidates, particularly in the “blog” section. 

Finally, Tiger have benefited from some excellent press opportunities with quotes in The Times, Metro, Evening Standard and Money Observer so far in 2014. Please visit our press page for more information. 

In short, Tiger continues to work hard so that we can offer the most targeted shortlists to our Clients. The Consulting team at Tiger collectively has over 50 years of secretarial recruitment experience, yet we are all still striving to improve and welcome feedback at any time, both positive and negative.


Out of the ordinary >

Whilst our core business area of expertise is secretarial and administrational recruitment, we can be very resourceful if you need help in other areas.  In 2014, we have recruited Compliance Professionals, Investor Relations Candidates, PR Account Managers, Fund Administrators, HR Professionals and Executive Search Consultants/Researchers.



How will the new Workplace pension legislation affect your temporary recruitment? >

At a staging date date unique to each business, every UK employer must automatically enrol their employees into a qualified pension scheme. “Employees” also includes Temporary Workers.

“Every employer will have a date from when the automatic enrolment duties come into force for their business. This is called an employer’s ‘staging date’. Automatic enrolment is being staged in over a period of six years, which started with the largest employers in 2012.” The Pensions Regulator

Every employment business providing temporary workers will also have a staging date at which point their temporary workers and the agency (on behalf of the Client) must make contributions.
