My client is based in Paris and this role is based in Paris, although you will be dealing with the head office in Canada and their office in London.

The role is for a Senior IT Technician and ideally you'll have in-house experience of looking after a company's IT systems. They are in the financial services space so if you have worked as an IT Technician in this space, then great. 

The ability to write and speak French is not a pre-requisite because everyone speaks English, but clearly, if you are a fluent French speaker, then this will be an advantage,

  • Manage Level 1 requests and incidents directed to the IT service centre (phone calls and emails);
  • Provide office automation support for the European teams;
  • Manage and carry out office automation changes during the design, testing, quality assurance and implementation stages of solutions in line with the Company's objectives;
  • Participate in various IT projects and meet established objectives and deadlines;
  • Develop or revise, as required, technical, administrative and user support documentation;
  • Conduct regular follow-ups of office automation troubleshooting;
  • Identify and solve problems, including the installation and configuration of patches and updates, if necessary;
  • Manage all incidents and requests using the IT service centre's FootPrints software;
  • Carry out critical upgrades and corrections and participate in important changes made to the Company's data centre;
  • Uphold established levels of service during an incident management scenario;
  • Interact with product and service suppliers;
  • Ensure communication with users during service disruptions until service is restored;
  • Track IT inventory in Europe;
  • Answer and document user requests;
  • Be available outside of regular business hours to respond to incidents and make changes;
  • Assist the Office Manager with select tasks related to the management of technical, facility maintenance and security problems.
