A City based private equity firm have a brand new role available within their finance team supporting 5 different areas of the business.
This is purely administrative role to help relieve senior Heads of divisions as their workload increases due to the companies growing success.
Being a brand new role it is vital that you are versatile and flexible as the role takes form and evolves as your knowledge of the business grows but initial duties are likely to include the following:
Managing the portfolio database, monitoring deal flow, raising and processing invoices, ledger reconciliation, collating and processing expenses, maintaining supplier accounts and purchase orders, dealing with basic finance queries, collate and distribute monthly reports.
You will also be required to assist with the post, filing, faxing, photocopying, answering the phones and ad hoc cover to other assistants from time to time with diary management, travel arranging, meeting scheduling and perhaps occasional reception cover. A 'can do' attitude is a must andis very much the culture throughout the company.
This would suit someone with experience and a genuine interest in finance/ accounting although they are not looking for someone wanting to progress down this route in the immediate future and will therefore not look to sponsor ACCA exams, you will ideally want to stay and develop this role in an administrative capacity.
It would also suit a meticulous, organised and passionate administrator who has excellent attention to detail, focus and professionalism.
Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint are essential.
