THE ROLE OF A BUSINESS ASSISTANT

A Business Assistant works closely alongside the Director and management team, attending key meetings with them as well as overseeing the general business activity. More often than not, they’ll be the right-hand person to the Director and will manage key projects, offer valuable business insights, and assist with budget management / reporting.

They may perform some Personal Assistant duties for the Director as well, including diary management and extensive travel / meeting coordination. As a flexible and confident business leader, they will likely provide line management to the Administration and Operations Managers, conducting staff appraisals, performance issues and task delegation.

The responsibilities from one Business Assistant to another may vary significantly depending on the nature and size of the organisation.
